Fundraising - FOND
FOND (Friends of Dorking Nursery) is a registered charity (Charity No. 1063098) whose aim is to raise funds to support our families and children. FOND is made up of a group of parents, friends and staff, the FOND committee organises a number of events and fundraising activities which are designed to involve all parents and carers. Members of FOND usually meet once a term to share ideas and plan events. Staff can submit requests for equipment and events to support the learning of all children and families using the services. Fundraising activities are varied and usually great fun!
They have included:
- Cake sales
- Raffles
- Dorking Christmas Gala
- Bag2School
We have also supported Charities such as Children in Need, Comic Relief, Dorking Food Bank and more!
It's also a great way to get to know everyone! Please come along and join in.
What FOND have achieved - FOND have been crucial in supporting the children and families using our services. They have funded the following projects and equipment:
- Outdoor equipment for Woodland and Forst School
- Equipment for soft play
- Toys and equipment including tricycles, books and easels.
- New bike and buggy racks
- Christmas gifts
- Dental hygiene week resources.

Easyfundraising, The Giving Machine and Amazon Smile
We have found three great new ways to raise money for our Nursery School which we hope you will use and spread the word about. It doesn't cost you a penny - you just have to purchase your usual goods and services on line but via one of these three websites and it automatically raises funds for us. Shops include Amazon, Ebay, Arbos, Tesco, M&S, John Lewis, Currys, B&Q and loads more!
